**Seconds** Salt Fire Spawning Salmon Bowl 2
**seconds pieces are reduced in price as deemed by a flaw in the finished piece, please read listing carefully**
Salt-fired tea bowl featuring hand-painted figures.
This piece was fired in Cathi Jefferson’s salt kiln in the Cowichan Valley of Vancouver Island. This style of atmospheric firing owes it’s distinctive “orange peel” texture to the salt added to the active fire, which vaporizes and deposits it’s on the pots. This produces a glazed surface rich in texture and colour variation.
*microwave safe, handwash for added longevity
**reduced in price due to small s crack developed on the base during the fire (see last photo). The crack does progress though base so item is not water tight, item would function as a catchall bowl, not dinnerware.
Approximate Dimensions:
2” h x 5” rim, 3.5” base diameter
Order pick-up is available at Hands on Clay Collective, Victoria
Most items ship separate
