Gloss engobe-dipped matcha tea bowl with freehand painted figures. Bowl is crafted intentionally with a flat base, tall upright walls and wide opening to make for ease of whisking matcha into a good froth without splashing tea or causing damage to one’s bamboo chasen.
** Dishwasher safe, though hand-washing is recommended.
**White underglaze used in the designs bubbled slightly (see last photo for detail) the resulting surface is rougher in those patches, though is not sharp to the touch.
